Speech understanding in quiet remains a key challenge for hearing aid wearers. In fact, it’s the biggest predictor of hearing aid benefit. Phonak Lumity with Speech Enhancer helps reduce the listening effort required when communicating with someone who speaks softly e.g. from a toddler, or from a distance, in quiet surroundings.

This could provide an additional benefit as reducing listening effort may free up cognitive resources for purposes other than listening

Social interaction are strong contributors to our social-emotional well-being. In these situations conversations do not always happen from the front, so it’s important to be able to identify from which direction speech is coming from.

Phonak Lumity features SpeechSensor, an algorithm that detects the direction from which the main speech signal is coming from. This information is sent to AutoSense OS 5.0 which automatically adjusts the directional microphone mode depending on if speech is coming from left/right or behind.

The real life benefit means you can understand speech 15% better when speech is from the side/rear in addition to 11% reduced listening effort.

The SpeechSensor feature is only available in the Phonak Lumity Premium (L90) level of technology

The number one request we hear from hearing aid users is to hear well in social gatherings, or any areas with background noise. Listening in social situations is how we keep connected with loved ones and colleagues. In addition to the core features in every Phonak hearing aid designed to improve speech clarity in background noise, the new Dynamic Speech Cancellation feature provides significantly better speech understanding.

Users can also personalise the amount of noise cancellation in real time via the myPhonak app. Dynamic Speech Cancellation is a only available in the Premium (L90) and Advanced (L70) level technology .

StereoZoom 2.0, Phonak’s unique binaural directional beamforming technology allows you to enjoy 1:1 conversations in noisy environments eg sitting with a loved one across a small table in a restaurant.

StereoZoom 2.0 is smoother, smarter and stronger. There is a smooth transition between the wider directional mode of UltraZoom and the narrower focus of StereoZoom 2.0. It intelligently adapts the strength of focus as the level of noise increases.

With Lumity and StereoZoom 2.0 you are able to adjust the focus strength of StereoZoom 2.0, to your preference and in real time via the Speech Focus slider in myPhonak app.

It is not always easy to walk and face your conversation partner at the same time. Featuring Motion Sensor Hearing, Phonak Lumity changes the directional microphone mode into the more open setting of Real Ear Sound and deactivates Dynamic Noise Cancellation when having a conversation while walking in a noisy environment.

Motion Sensor Hearing is available in the Premium, Advanced and Standard technology levels (L90, L70 and L50).

Building on the success of the Phonak Marvel platform which was the world’s first hearing aid family to stream all audio content (eg phone calls, music, podcasts) from both iOS (Apple) and Android phones, directly into both ears. The new Phonak Lumity hearing aids now allow for up to eight (8) Bluetooth pairings and two (2) active Bluetooth connections at the same time.

For example, if you are streaming a movie from your iPad and your phone rings, you can seamlessly switch between the two. This feature is also extremely popular for those that carry two mobile phones eg a work phone and a personal phone

Stream TV audio directly to your Phonak Paradise hearing aids via the new TV Connector accessory.

Phonak Lumity is available as a lithium-ion (Li-Ion) rechargeable system.  Apart from the obvious benefits of never having to change disposable batteries, Li-Ion technology has a number of other benefits, such as:
